Homemade Sore Muscle Rub

With all the hard work that goes on around here, having sore muscles every other day is something we have gotten used to. Tasks such as preparing the soil for gardening or building these raised garden beds can take a toll on the body. This homemade sore muscle rub and a massage from the hubby always provides much needed relief.

What I really love about this rub is that it made from all natural ingredients. Especially the different essential oils and the coconut oil. If you have any minor aches or muscle pain, then you really need to make yourself a batch of this salve. There are a few more recipes in the videos below that you can try too.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

So I was trying to be a smart ass, and totally disregarded the instruction to have my containers ready first. The end result was burnt wax, which was useless. The beeswax is melted in the double boiler which is set to medium high at first then low, to allow the wax to melt slowly. Measure your coconut oil and melt that too before adding to the wax.

Blend the coconut oil and beeswax well. Then you can add the sweet almond oil to the mixture. Take your time and get rid off any lumps before you add the essential oils one by one. The containers should be left out to cool, before you screw on the lids. To use just rub a small amount onto the affected area with your fingers.
