Homemade Shampoo Recipe

Personally, I don’t like to wash my hair with shampoo too often. Just using water alone is sufficient most days of the week. We already use the homemade natural deodorant, as for the hair I like to use this all natural homemade shampoo recipe, nowadays.

You only need 3 ingredients for this recipe. It will take less than 5 minutes to make this one. Just like with food items, homemade hair and body products are way safer to use than the store bought versions. It is free of harsh chemicals and you know exactly what is in it.

Here’s What You’ll Need

  • 1 bar Castile Soap
  • 1/2 cup baking soda
  • 1 cup filtered water
  • 1 teaspoon essential oils
  • grater
  • bowl
  • glass jar
  • plastic bottle

Step By Step Instructions

Step 1.

Grate your bar of Castil soap into the bowl.

Step 2.

Add the baking soda and stir well.

Step 3.

Add the filtered water and stir yet again,
should look like oatmeal at this stage.

Step 4.

Add the essential oils.

Step 5.

Transfer the bowl contents to a jar. Screw on the
lid and give it a really good shake.

Leave the jar to settle and sit for a few hours. After which your shampoo will be ready for use. I then empty everything into a plastic squeeze bottle that I can use in the shower. Feel free to experiment with different essential oils, I just use Vitamin E for mine.
