Your hair would never be the same without this one essential hair product. I know for sure my hair would be a dirty mess. LOL. I have already shared in previous posts how to make homemade shampoo as well as how to make homemade natural hair conditioner and homemade hair curl cream. Maybe you should consider using these homemade shampoo bars, they pretty much do the same job as the liquid.
If you have made homemade soap before, the process is similar but not the exact same one. For these bars only 5 ingredients are required. The melt and pour soap base is probably something that most of us are going to have to actually purchase. The rest of the ingredients are usually readily available in and around the home. As for the essential oils, feel free to use whatever blend works best for you. The recipe does provide some guidance on different blends you can try.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- melt and pour soap base
- cocoa butter
- olive oil
- vitamin E oil
- essential oils
- double boiler
- wooden spoon
- soap mold
- air tight containers
It’s easier to have all your ingredients prepped and ready before you get started. The soap base will need to be melted in the double boiler over medium heat, with the cocoa butter. Don’t forget to continuously stir the mixture. The rest of the ingredients are added after the mixture has been removed from the heat. When everything is mixed well, you can then fill the soap mold and leave your bars to harden. When hardened you can easily pop the bars out and use them as needed.
