Homemade Salmon Cat Treats

Meow! That’s the sound she makes when she starts begging for yet another treat. She’s lucky I make these homemade salmon cat treats in our kitchen here, so they are not that expensive. Which means I can afford to give her a few treats every few hours. Yay! Do you remember the earlier posts on diy winter cat shelter, homemade cat food recipe and these diy cat beds?

It’s always a lot of fun in the kitchen making these homemade cat treats with my two girls. For these we like to use whole wheat flour, but I’ve heard that all purpose flour works too. The recipe as is, makes quite a lot of treats, about 500 actually. So what we often do is, divide the dough into five equal parts and then freeze the remaining portions for baking at a later date.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Whilst your oven preheats, you should start working on the dough. Working with your hands will not only make it easier but also faster to get this dough just right. It is then rolled out to flatten it before it can be cut into small bite size squares. Pop them in the oven and bake them for about 15 minutes. When cooled down, store them in an air tight container in your fridge.
