DIY Christmas Tree Tea Bags

Yay! It’s Christmas time again and that usually means you have a long list of gifts to give to your family and friends. Sometimes, it is really the thought that counts. Instead of spending money buying gifts you can make some of them at home. Take for example, these diy Christmas tree tea bags. In previous years, around this time we looked at this diy Christmas tree tiered platter stand, this spiced Christmas jam and this diy wood pallet Christmas tree.

There is really nothing wrong with making your own homemade Christmas gifts. I am one of those who really appreciates, something that comes from the heart than the wallet. Call me old fashioned if you like. grin For these tea bags, you can use an assortment of loose-leaf tea or even just their favorite tea. With the advent of the internet not many Christmas cards being sent out these days, but surely you have wads of wrapping paper lying around somewhere.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Instead of free handing, what I did was create a template for my Christmas tree on a piece of cardboard and cut it out. Then I traced around the edges with a marker on top of the filter bags. Also I found using the needle and thread a bit too flimsy, so I went the sewing machine route and that made life a whole lot easier. I ended up only using the needle and thread for attaching the tags to the tea bags.
