Hey, didn’t your mama teach you that the home has always got to smell fresh? That is why I have shared things like the homemade dusting spray and the homemade lysol spray in previous blog posts. It is time to add to that list today, with this homemade potpourri recipe.
The thing I really love about these homemade potpourri recipes, is that you can mix the ingredients depending on your personal preference. You maybe a fruity scent person, therefore you end up just using fruits or you can be a spices person and end up with spicy scents. It’s simple just use whatever you prefer or have available.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- cinnamon
- cloves
- star anise
- oranges
- apples
- sharp knife
- cutting board
- cookie sheet
- mason jar
There will be an oven session today, therefore to speed things up we need to preheat the oven. Whilst the oven is heating up you can slice the fruits up, make them very thin before you place them in one layer on the cookie sheet. When dry you can add the other spices in the jar and leave to marinate for at least 24 hours.
