As I always say, anything that saves you time in the kitchen or garden is always welcome. It just means you have more time to deal with other homestead chores. In previous posts I have shown you how to make this homemade onion soup mix, this homemade hot cocoa mix and this homemade brownie mix. Today you can add this homemade pot roast mix, to that ever growing list.
I remember my Aunt Sue (may her soul rest in peace) used to swear by all her homemade mixes. We all know that anything homemade is almost always healthier and cheaper than the store made version. For this recipe, you are going to need 3 ingredients only. You also have the luxury of choosing your favorite brown gravy mix. If you are as smart as I think you are, then I see you actually mixing a huge batch at once and having it readily available for months.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
- brown gravy mix
- dried Italian seasoning dressing mix
- ranch dressing mix
- air tight container
If you were expecting some complicated instructions, you are going to be disappointed. This recipe entails just mixing all the ingredients together and storing them away for future use. Then when you are ready to make your pot roast, you can just add some water as directed and voila you have just made one of the best pot roasts…ever. LOL. Ahh, if only everything in life was just as simple, sigh! 🙂
