It’s time for a nice relaxing bath! You probably want to to try this homemade oatmeal milk bath recipe then, don’t you? Personally, I really enjoy taking long relaxing baths, especially after one of those annoyingly long and exhausting days. By the way, have you had a chance to take a look at the earlier posts on how to make your own homemade bubble bath and homemade therapeutic bath salts?
Anyhow, there are plenty of other homemade bath soak recipes on the internet, just do a quick search. With only four readily available ingredients required, you can easily make this one in a few minutes. Around the holidays I usually make a few extra jars, they make excellent Christmas gifts. This recipe is super flexible with the essential oils and that is one of the reasons why it’s one of my favorites.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- whole fat dried milk
- baking soda
- oats
- mason jar
- labels
- marker
- essential oils
- food processor
- medium bowl
Nope, you don’t want clumpy oats in your bath water, hence we use the food processor to grind them into a nice fine powder. Making the milk bath is as simple as mixing all the dry ingredients well together in the bowl. When ready, stores in a mason jar with a label and a screw on lid. As for the essential oils, I prefer to add them to the bath water rather than into the jars. This allows for different scents and aromas with each and every bath.
