How To Grow Orangelos

Oh yes! I am back again with yet another fruit, that you probably have never heard of. Sometimes I get the feeling that you may think I make these names up. LOL. I can’t blame you though, remember when I showed you how to grow pomelos, how to grow kiwi berries and even how to grow tamarillos. Well, without wasting anymore of your precious time why don’t we look at how to grow orangelos.

There is no point just sticking to the regular fruit varieties, when there are now so many new hybrids available for you to try. For instance, this one came along as a result of combining an orange and a grapefruit. Sweet and sour comes together perfectly, for a taste that I don’t think your taste buds will ever be ready for. If you have ever grown any other citrus fruit, then you should not have any problems when it comes to growing one of these in your backyard orchard.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Step By Step Instructions

Step 1.

Remove all the flesh from your seeds and dry them.

Step 2.

Soak them in a glass bowl for at least 24 hours.

Step 3.

Fold your napkin or paper towel in half and place your seeds in the center.

Step 4.

Use the spray bottle to moisten your napkin and then place it inside the ziploc bag.

Step 5.

Store the bag away in a dark, cool and dry location.

It should take between 10 to 14 days for the seeds to germinate. Check regularly to make sure that the napkin remains moist at all times and does not dry out. When germinated, you can cut out the seedlings carefully and plant them inside your small containers with potting soil. Place the containers on a window sill or in a location that receives daily sunlight. Water your containers regularly and watch your seedlings grow. 🙂
