Homemade Goat Milk Soap Recipe

Whether you like it or not, you are going to have to wash your body at one time or another. I shared with you how to grow luffas and also how to make homemade bubble bath at home. I have recently started experimenting with making this homemade goat milk soap recipe. The first try was an epic fail, but I am starting to get the hang of it.

There is no shortage of homemade goat milk soap recipes on the internet. As with most recipes, you just have to find what works best for you. I don’t know if all of them call for dried goat milk, but this one does. Also you get to choose your own blend of essential oils for the fragrance. If you are an avid blog follower, you know my favorite is lavender, of course.

Homemade Goat Milk Soap

Here’s What You’ll Need:

You begin by dissolving the lye in hot water in the pot. Then when the optimum temperature has been achieved you can add the coconut oil, soyabean oil and canola oil. When stirring this, you have to wait for the water temperature to once again drop to the optimum level. Then the lemon juice and the goat milk are added.

Give it a good whisk before adding the stearic acid, Vitamin E and the almond oil. Before you finally add the essential oil, you have to make sure that the mixture in thick enough. Only then can you pour it into the molds. Ideally after the initial 24 hour setting period, it is recommended that you let it dry for 21 days, before using it.
