Homemade Body Lotion Recipe

When you are living off grid or on a tight budget, it is important that you try to be as self reliant as possible. That is why I insist of making my own things at home such as the homemade sunscreen cream, homemade toothpaste recipe and homemade hand sanitizer gel recipe. Today I would like to share this homemade lotion recipe with you.

There are indeed many homemade lotion recipes, available for you to choose from. However, not all of them use all natural ingredients like this one. If you like your lotion creamy, adding the melted beeswax pastilles will do the trick. Feel free to use your favorite essential oil, instead of the lavender. The shea butter can be replaced with cocoa butter, if you prefer that scent. This recipe makes about 20 oz. of the best homemade lotion, in my opinion.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

You need less than 5 minutes to whip yourself a batch of this homemade goodness. Measure your ingredients into the large bowl, before mixing everything together well using the mixer. Some of the ingredients like the beeswax may need to be melted before being added to the bowl. I like to reuse old lotion bottles for storing my lotion. Glass containers will also do.
