Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • clay or mud
  • water
  • green sticks
  • steel or metal plate
  • firewood

The first thing to go is to mix your soil to make your mud. Apparently clay soil from termite mounds work best, however any clay soil should do the job. The construction starts with the horseshoe structure on the ground. Then you mud the steel plate you will be cooking in place.

The sticks will be poked into the horseshoe mud structure and secured at the top to form a teepee structure. Leave the very top open for the chimney, then mud around the sticks all the way to the very top. This stove is ready for use as soon as you finish building it, you do not have to wait for it to dry.
