Your chickens gone camping? It certainly looks like that when you first take a look at this diy tent chicken coop. I think in terms of ease of setting up this one ranks right up there with other coop ideas such as the diy old car chicken coop as well as the diy water tank chicken coop, we looked at in earlier posts on this blog.
Obviously there are more sturdy and durable chicken coop designs that you can consider. However, if you need a temporary or portable solution then this is a great option. It’s even better if you already have some old camping gear lying around, you can just use that tent instead of going out to buy one. I am sure that this coop idea could be adopted for other poultry around the homestead too.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
Step By Step Instructions
Step 1.
Find the perfect location to pitch your tent.
Step 2.
Cover the floor area with a layer of shavings.
Step 3.
Add your feeder and your waterer.
That’s it you’re done. Now you can introduce your chickens to their new home via the tent door. The number of chickens or chicks you can keep in there will depend on the size of your tent. Don’t forget to regularly clean and change your shavings just as you would do if it was any other chicken coop. Keep the window vents and or the top open for adequate ventilation.
