DIY Mini Pallet Coasters

I don’t care what you say, but as far as I am concerned you can never have too many of these. So far I have made the diy magazine coasters and the diy marble coasters. I was so excited when I discovered this diy mini pallet coasters on the internet, the other day.

If I had a lot more free time, I would probably spend a good chunk of it researching more diy coaster ideas. No these ones are not made from mini wood pallets, I don’t think there is such a thing. Instead you get to build the pallet using popsicle sticks and glue, making it a very affordable and fun project.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • popsicle sticks

    -------------------------------------------------------------------
  • wood glue or glue gun
  • ruler
  • pencil or marker
  • scissors or craft knife or side cutters

When it comes to your adhesive of choice, you have to decide on whether to use the wood glue or the hot gun. The later is faster but collapses easier when exposed to heat. I will take the wood glue route, it is going to take longer to build these, however I know they will last longer.

The popsicles will need to be trimmed and shaped before you can start the coaster construction. Make sure you measure out all your important marks, and place the popsicle sticks in place before you actually glue everything together. If you are using glue, like I would be there is going to be a lot of ‘waiting for the glue’ to dry involved.
