Can you give the dog a quick bath please? That is one chore my girls never complain about and that is absolutely fine with me. You have probably seen my previous posts on how to make homemade dog donuts recipe and on the diy self filling dog dish. Well in today’s post I shall be sharing my go to homemade dog shampoo recipe.
I ran into a few homemade dog shampoo recipes, on my quest to find the perfect one for our dogs. I eventually settled on this one which requires 3 ingredients only, but inevitably does the dirty work. What I love about this recipe is its simplicity as well as the mere fact that you can make however much you need at any given time. Therefore if you have two or more dogs, you can make enough shampoo for them just as easily as you would for say, if you only had one dog. A few minutes of your time is all that it takes.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
- white vinegar
- Dawn dish soap
- water
- measuring jug
- washing tub
- clear squirt bottle (optional)
Step By Step Instructions
Step 1.
Measure equal parts of all the ingredients into the measuring jug and carefully pour into the squirt bottle.
Step 2.
Screw on the lid and give the bottle a good shake, to mix all the ingredients together.
Step 3.
That’s it your shampoo is ready! 🙂
How To Use? It is recommended that you wash your dog in a warm bath. Before applying the shampoo make sure that your dog’s hair is fully wet. Apply the shampoo avoiding the eyes as well as the mouth and then use a brush to scrub. Pay attention to areas where fleas maybe hiding such as the head. As you scrub, you should start to see dead fleas in the water. Rinse with water and repeat the process until all fleas are dead.
