Blueberry Loaf Recipe

When you browse through the posts on this blog, it would look as if I do very little baking. I mean I have only made a few posts over the years such as the homemade french bread recipe , homemade rye bread recipe and the homemade dinner rolls recipe. In an effort to try correct that misconception, I will be sharing this blueberry loaf recipe.

Who needs muffins, when you can bake a whole loaf loaded with as much as 2 cups of fresh blueberries. I usually make this with our own homegrown blueberries. This recipe doesn’t really call for any out of the ordinary ingredients, you should already have most of them in your kitchen.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Before we get started on mixing the ingredients, preheat your oven to 350 degrees F and also greased the loaf pan with your butter or the non stick spray. Pull out the mixer and use it to cream your butter with the sugar until fluffy. The milk, eggs and vanilla are added and blended into the mixture.

Slowly fold in your flour and baking powder mix. The blueberries are last in, and they should be added by hand so that you do not crush them. Pour everything into your greased loaf pan, and bake for about 55 to 65 minutes. The loaf is ready if you stick a toothpick in it, and it comes out clean. Remove the pan from the oven and allow to cool, before removing your fresh homemade loaf.
