There are some veggies, that are so easy to grow that we sometimes get carried away when it comes to the gardening season. For example, after you have mastered the art of growing radishes, what do you with the surplus harvest? Well, you could try preserving them for later use, with this pickled radishes for tacos recipes.
I know sometimes it feels like I am now actually always on the look out for pickling recipes. The truth is that they tend to just find me. LOL Maybe it is because they know I really love pickled stuff. This recipe is not only simple, but also does not require any special equipment. Unlike other recipes, you are also required to make your ‘pickling sauce’ on your stove before filling the jars.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- radishes
- vinegar
- kosher salt
- sugar
- red pepper flakes
- cilantro
- seeded jalapeno (optional)
- mason jars
- small pot
Ok, so for this one you are going to have to make the ‘sauce’ using the vinegar, salt and sugar. Once you have brought these ingredients to a boil you can add the red peppers flakes, before leaving to cool on the side. Prep your radishes, and fill your mason jar layering them with the cilantro, as well as the jalapeno, which is optional. After sealing the jar, ideally you should let it sit in your fridge for at least 24 hours, before enjoying them.
