Here’s What You’ll Need:

For main and side vine fruiting, remove the side vine or side shoots where you have the female flowers. You should leave the side vines to grow out from the leaves that do not have flowers. When pruning the side vines, remove any side vines that do not have female flowers after four or five leaves.

You will find that main vine fruiting is more dense, as you can often find 3 to 4 fruits hanging from the same vines. When selecting the pruning method for your plants, make sure you consider the growing status of your cucumbers. Without enough water, sunlight or nutrients no amount of pruning can aide the growth of your cucumbers.
