How To Make Homemade Wine

Alright, raise your hand if you have entertained the idea of of making your own homemade wine before. Now keep your hand up if the only reason you haven’t tried before is because you figured that it would be daunting task.

If like me, you still have your hand up then you are going to love this method I discovered. You do not need any fancy wine making equipment. You do not even need to grow or have access to fresh grapes. Plus you can choose the flavor apple, peach, pear, grape etc.  It all depends on the juice concentrate you use.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • 3 Cans Juice Concentrate
  • 3 Cups Sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Yeast
  • Water to mix juice
  • Latex Balloon
  • 1 Gallon Plastic Milk/Water jug
  • I Gallon Glass Wine Jug (optional)
  • Bubbler (optional)

Before you begin make sure that the container you are using is clean. Add all the ingredients into the container and give it a good shake to mix well. Then simply cover the opening with your balloon or the bubbler, if you are using one.

Find a nice cool dark area to hide the container. I am thinking somewhere out of the way so you won’t get tempted to drink it before it is ready. Now for the the hard part, waiting 21 days for the fermentation process. After which you can siphon off the wine and the chill it. That’s it, your wine is ready for tasting. 🙂 Makes 1 Gallon
