One thing that annoys most gardeners, myself included is when you have a good season going and then some pest or disease attacks your plants. That is why in the past I have shared solutions like how to get rid of slugs with beer and how to get rid of cutworms, in an attempt to help you. If you are growing cabbage, you must know how to get rid of cabbage worms.
God forbid, should these pesky buggers be allowed to attack your crop, most of the time you lose most of it. There is one or two all natural remedies that may provide relief, however for now I think the best way to tackle this problem is a store bought solution. It may cost you a little upfront, but is an absolute ‘cabbage’ lifesaver. It works for your kale too.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
- row covers
- neem oil (optional)
Cabbage worms come about after white moths lay their eggs on your plants. With this in mind the best plan of attack, is preventing these moths from getting near your cabbage. As far as natural solutions are concerned, you can try soaking them neem oil. Many gardeners have complained that sometimes this method does not work.
The only fool proof method I am aware of right now is the use of row covers. The idea is to cover your cabbage seedlings soon after transplant, and this prevents the white moths from getting access to them. The row covers should allow light and water to pass through, and should also be weighed down, so that the wind does not blow the away.
