All the fun when gardening stops the minute pests and diseases start to attack your plants. We have made various natural concoctions in the past such as the homemade natural garden ant killer. These work well and are gentle on the environment. But how do you get rid of aphids in your garden naturally?

Well, I understand where there are ants is where you also find these pesky pets. Aphids produce honeydew which ants love. The mother nature way of controlling aphids would be to allow other pests such as ladybug larvae, to grow and then they feed on them. Otherwise, there are various things you can also apply to help you control the infestation.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

The best way to naturally control aphids is by applying diatomaceous earth. This is sprinkled on the base of affected plants. It works by dehydrating the pests when they pass through it, leaving them to die. Diatomaceous earth is environmentally friendly, and is all natural.

Yet another solution would be to use what is commonly known as Tanglefoot. This is available in a tube and you apply it by squeezing a ring around the base of the plant. This then creates a barrier that most pests find difficult to pass through. Over time the ring would need to be reapplied around the base.
