When your sweet tooth calls, you have to head the calling. I usually like to make healthy all natural treats such as the homemade and the homemade recipe. However, sometimes I think it is ok to just make something sweet and super not so healthy like this homemade twix bar recipe.
I always seem to say this, but yes this is a pretty simple recipe. Personally I try stay away from complicated stuff. Hi hi hiiii. I got my little princesses to help me with this one, they love to clean the bowls with their little fingers after I am done. It really is a fun recipe, to take on as a family activity.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
- 1/2 cup of butter
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 1/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1 can sweet condensed milk
- 1/4 cup small sauce pan
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 7 oz dark chocolate
- brown sugar
- baking sheet
- parchment paper
- pinch of salt
- mixing bowl
- wooden spoon
Step By Step Instructions
Step 1.
Cream together the butter, sugar and salt
until they are light and fluffy.
Step 2.
Add the all purpose flour and mix well until
mixture crumbles and holds together if squeezed.
Step 3.
Press down mixture into the baking pan using
your spoon and bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees F.
Step 4.
Add condensed milk, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 3 tablespoons
butter in the saucepan. Heat on medium heat and stir.
Step 5.
Add the vanilla extract and stir well, before pouring
mixture over the contents of the baking pan.
Step 6.
Bake at 350 degrees F for an extra 15 minutes and
then remove and allow to slightly cool.
Step 7.
In a small mixing bowl, mix your dark chocolate and
two tablespoons of butter, melt over low heat.
Step 8.
Cover the top of the cooled baking pan base with your
chocolate topping, then place in fridge for 30 minutes.
Step 9.
After the chocolate has set, you can lift the paper
out of the pan and use a hot knife to cut into bars.
Step 10.
Enjoy and store any leftovers in your fridge.
