OMG! We woke up to the stankiest smell ever. A skunk died close to our homestead and although the hubby managed to remove it, the nasty smell persisted. I have made homemade solutions before such as the homemade fruit and veggie wash and the homemade chicken coop sanitizer so, I jumped on the internet and found this homemade skunk smell remover recipe.
This is a simple solution that requires only 3 ingredients. Some people may not have or like to use hydrogen peroxide. Dish soap or vinegar can be used instead, but these are not as effective. I tried this recipe, as it said that ‘it really works’ and I can honestly say to confirm that yes indeed it does.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- hydrogen peroxide
- baking soda
- dish detergent
- empty spray bottle (optional)
- sponge (optional)
Simply mix all the ingredients well together in a bowl. Then you can either place the solution in a spray bottle or use a sponge to wash or dab it on affected area. Apply a generous amount in order to really take care of the smell. Trust me your nose will thank you, this is a life saver! 🙂
