DIY Wood Pallet Tool Storage

No the rumors are not true at all. I still love to make things from wood pallets, even though it has been a while since my last project. I think the last project we did was the diy wood pallet desk, right? Well just to prove my point, I will be sharing with you this diy wood pallet tool storage project.

Besides the fact that we are re-purposing wood pallets, I like that this particular one does not require you to dismantle the pallet. It’s your choice, apparently its easier to paint and stain when you do so. However, that is one of my least favorite things to do, when it comes to wood pallets. I will skip that step, thank you.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • wood pallet
  • hammer
  • crow bar
  • heavy duty nails
  • paint brush
  • framing nails (optional)
  • wood stain
  • handheld drill
  • weather proof sealant

Lay your pallet on the ground and get to work. Either you are going to remove some slats first or be like me just start weather proofing and staining. If you are going to attach this to a shed, house or fence you may want to match the color of the stainer with the other structure.

Leave the pallet out to dry before attaching it to anything using the nails. A few hours will do, but just to be on the safe side just let it dry overnight. The nails you use to attach, your pallet should be long enough to go through both. Instead of using the hammer, I cheated and used a handheld drill instead. 🙂
