Alright, I seriously thought I was going to give wood pallet projects a rest for a few weeks or even months. After the diy wood pallet outdoor bar and the diy wood pallet goat barn recently, they are cheap projects but sometimes time consuming. Anyway, I saw this diy wood pallet bench and I was sucked in yet again.
You will need a couple of wood pallets for this project, thank goodness in most cases you can get them for free. In addition to the pallets, there is a few other materials required for the project. These should not cost you more than $30 if you were going to buy everything from your hardware store.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
- wood pallets
- 4X4 post
- bolts
- washers
- nuts
- deck screws
- wood paint or stain
- pry-bar
- hammer
- power washer
- hand drill
Unfortunately this is one of those wood pallet projects that requires you to dismantle the pallets before you can start building the bench. This is usually my least favorite and most frustrating task. They say it is the best time to let out all your anger and stress. Your individual boards will have to be measured and cut, to size.
The angle of your seat is something you will have to figure out, based on your preferences. Then you can cut and attach the legs from the 4×4 posts. Next will come the back rest and then you can power wash and apply wood stain to your bench. This bench will look great on any patio or porch, trust me. 🙂
