As you already know we do raise some turkeys on our homestead. This allows us to have some turkey meat every now and again, especially on Thanksgiving of course. Although we built diy chicken nesting boxes, for our chickens we left out our turkeys. This is the reason why I had to do some research online and found this diy turkey nest box.
These plans are easy peezy lemon squeezy and the materials are affordable too. In fact the whole box can be made from scrap plywood if you are lucky to have some left over from other projects. Also if you are going to be sitting the box in front of a wall, you can save on plywood by keeping the back open. This evidently also helps make the entire box lighter and hence more portable.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
- 3/4″ plywood
- table saw or circular saw
- measuring tape
- marker
- straight edge or yard stick
- pencil
- nails
- hammer
- screws (optional)
- drill (optional)
Let’s begin by getting out your tape measure and marker. The plans and measurements for the box are provided. All you have to do is use them as a guideline, and then make your required cuts. Only then can you start building your box, by first attaching the lip across the front. That piece connects the two opposite sides of the box.
