As we start to get more warm and sunny days, we will soon be spending a lot of time in the backyard as a family. If all goes according to plan the hubby will try his best to make this diy backyard bowling alley. We are also looking at adding more fun activities such as this diy tic tac toe game.
So yes, I have actually been researching quite a lot of diy fun backyard games for the family on the internet. We could always draw the grid on a piece of paper and mark the X’s and O’s on there, but that ends up wasting paper. This inexpensive and simple to build game is probably a better option. Plus it is also portable, so you can take it with you almost anywhere you go.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- 14×8″ board
- dark walnut stain
- white paint
- paint brushes
- wood sealer
- 10 smooth rocks
- small bowl
- super glue (optional)
If you are going to treat your wood, then that would be the first step. Otherwise you can go ahead and create your stencil that you will use for marking the grid. Although you can skip the sealing of the rocks and the board, it probably will not last as long as if you did. It is also up to you whether you want to attach the bowl to the bowl or keep it separate.
