When the time comes that you start growing a lot of different herbs and a plants, it is then that you begin to realize how easy it actually is to forget which is which. In previous post, I have shared different types of markers you can use such as the diy wine cork plant markers and the diy popsicle stick garden markers. Yet another creative way to label them would be using these diy scrabble tile herb garden markers.
The same way you probably feel right now, is how I felt when I discovered this awesome idea. Who would have ever thought those scrabble tiles, are good for anything other than for playing the game itself? However, it is the perfect way to repurpose and use an old set, what else could you have done with the tiles? There project involves a lot of glue, so be careful or you may end up sticky.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- assorted wooden letter tiles
- hot glue sticks
- hot glue gun
- wood craft sticks
- clear wood sealant or protector (optional)
Since you will be dealing with quite a number of tiles, it is important that your planning is on point. Ideally, laying out all the letters one on top of each other for each marker will help when you start gluing them onto the craft sticks. Oh, if you have access to popsicle sticks you can use those instead of the craft sticks. Also a hot glue gun helps with precision, however you can still improvise and manually apply wood glue, just try being a little more careful. 🙂
