Sometimes when you are relaxing whether indoors or outdoors you just wanna set the right mood. What better way to do it than by using this diy quick mood lighting idea. Of course you can still use all the other lighting options we have discussed before like the diy mason jar solar lights and the diy wine bottle tiki torch.
It is always good to try different diy lighting ideas, in and around your house. They tend to be way cheaper than actually going out to purchase ready made solutions. Sometimes they are also cheaper and fun projects to try out. For example, instead of throwing out your empty cans you can upcycle them and use them as mood lighting instead. Ain’t that super cool?
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- old tin cans
- hammer
- nail
- spray paint
- unscented tea lights
- newspaper (optional)
Step By Step Instructions:
Step 1.
Remove any labels from your cans.
Step 2.
Use the nail and hammer, to punch
holes all around your cans.
Step 3.
Lay down some newspaper and
spray paint you cans.
Step 4.
Place a tea light in each can
and light your candles.
That’s it! Instead of using tea lights, you could also use some small led lights or even solar lights if you are using these on your patio. In this case you probably have to hang the cans upside down in order to insert the lights. That is just another suggestion, although the tea lights get the done. Easily set your mood by lighting cans with the same color.
