It is just one of those things that every backyard needs, it doesn’t matter if you are living off grid. You can still have one of these. I am talking about an outdoor bar. I have already shared this diy pallet wood bar in a earlier post, right? What do you think of this diy light up pallet bar?
Yes indeed, it is a diy wood pallet project, therefore you can feel good about yourself as you are re-purposing wood that would have otherwise been thrown away. Not only that, you also get to save a lot of money on all the wood that is needed for this project. For the lighting we are going to be using solar powered lights, re-using free energy from the sun. Yay!
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- hand saw
- wrecking bar
- hammer
- palm sander
- handheld drill with drill bits
- holesaw kit
- stapler
- wood pallets
- assorted sandpaper
- 4mm x 32mm steel chain
- chalkboard spray paint or brush-on chalkboard paint
- metallic copper spray
- solar fairy lights
- coach bolts
- screws
- eye hooks
- carabiners
Unfortunately we have to dissemble the wood pallets, and not just one of them but all of them too. Then you start by putting together the uprights for the back of the bar. The back of the bar is next and you should just concentrate on the bottom half which would be visible from inside.
You can then move on to the front section with the fairy lights lettering, after which you start working on the front of the bar itself. You have to cut out the holes for the bottles and glasses, sand your bar and then apply the paint. The chains are attached to the sides and they hold the bar when open.
