Yeah, if you’ve ever had the chance to spend a few minutes lounging in the shade on a hammock, you know how relaxing that can be. Although in previous posts we have tried this diy fruit & veggie rack, this diy crochet hanging fruit baskets and this diy wall mounted fruit & veggie holder, there’s nothing stopping us from trying this diy crochet fruit hammock, is there now?
I’ve attempted many different crochet patterns in the past, but I am not yet an expert neither would you classify me as a beginner. For me personally this hammock is a really cute and functional way to store fruits in your kitchen. If you can’t find dishie cotton, you can use 100% cotton instead. Also ideally you want to use the longer dowel rods, but even slightly shorter ones will suffice.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
When crocheting the hammock the first row in cooperates the foundation single crochet. It’s only in the second row that you start using the Solomon’s Knot (SK) or Lover’s Knot stitch. By about row 21, you should have a triangle like hammock formation. When the crocheting is complete, the command hooks can be used to hang the hammock. Simply attach two on either side.
