How dare you leave the chickens in their coop without any treats? How dare you? After all the posts I have made on this blog such as the homemade frozen corn chicken treats and the homemade dried tomato chicken treats. Well even you if you missed those, you can still make these diy chicken seed roll treats for them today.
Obviously there are many homemade chicken treats, that you could try. They will love some of them more than the others. This particular one even helps you reuse toilet paper rolls which you would have otherwise thrown away. It also helps that they are pretty easy to make, why not even make it a fun activity for the whole family.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- toilet paper roll
- yarn or twine
- creamy peanut butter
- seeds, nuts, dried fruit, or chicken feed
- knife
The part of this project that the kids really love is when they get to spread the peanut butter all over the toilet roll. There will be a lot of sticky fingers and finger licking, trust me. Just don’t forget to tie the twine or yarn around the roll, as this often happens especially when with all the peanut butter spreading fun going on. LOL
