Most of the time when we speak of rolls, it usually is some plain roll, right? Do you remember the one hour dinner roll recipe I shared in an earlier blog post? Well, today’s post is a little different these chicken bacon ranch pull apart rolls, are going to tickle your taste buds, in all the right places.
I am not saying throw away all your other homemade rolls recipes. However, you may want to push them to back of the recipe book and put these ones right in the front, for easy access. Just a word of caution, don’t be lazy and use bacon strips instead of crumbs like I did. The pulling apart, will not be as easy or fun when you do that. Otherwise, let’s make these rolls, shall we?
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- potato rolls
- deli chicken
- bacon
- colby jack cheese
- Ranch salad dressing
- butter
- fresh chives
- garlic salt
- onion powder
- Parmesan cheese
- baking sheet
- wooden spoon
- parchment paper
- serrated knife
- small saucepan
- kitchen brush
- aluminium foil
There will be baking at some point in this recipe, therefore make sure you preheat that oven. The best way to make these rolls, is to cut them in half and the start layering all the delicious bits onto one side, before placing the other half back on just in time for you to pop them into the oven.
The butter, onion powder, chives and garlic salt are melted together in the saucepan to make a seasoned butter which is used for brushing the rolls. Half your cheese makes the first layer, then followed by the chicken and bacon. Some ranch dressing is then added before the final cheese layer. Total baking time is about 30 minutes, they should be a light golden color when done.
