DIY Homemade Tea Bags

Everyday I have at least 2 cups of tea. I prefer herbal teas, and I usually choose which on to drink  depending on my mood and needs. Did you know that you can make your own diy homemade tea bags?

Instead of using tea balls and making a huge mess, you can just put your loose tea into these tea bags made from coffee filters. You can also mix different teas and spices to create different flavoured teas. They are very simple and a lot of fun to make too.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • coffee filters
  • loose tea
  • scissors
  • stapler
  • thread or string
  • thick paper or scrapbook paper
  • teaspon or small spatula

The first step is to flatten out your coffee filter so you will be able to place your loose tea in the middle. You may also trim off the sides so that you work with a more rectangular shape coffee filter making things way easier for youself.

The rest of the steps involve you making a series of folds to the coffee filter. Before you know it you will have it the same shape and size as a traditional tea bag. At which point you just need to staple on the string and staple on the small piece of paper at the end of your string.
