DIY Hanging Canned Food Storage

Although I love my food fresh, since we live out here there are some things that we buy canned. You know cans can take more space than you want to even canning jars that is why we had to build that diy wood pallet canning pantry. However today we shall be looking at building this diy wall hanging canned food storage system.

What I love about this storage shelf is that it is pretty easy to build, but holds up to 272 cans. If you need a smaller storage system, you could perhaps scale down the plans to suit your needs. There is quite a bit of cutting required, so if you are not handy with the table or circular saw, get a handy someone to help you.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • wood screws
  • plywood
  • scrap
  • drill driver
  • drill bits
  • table saw
  • circular saw
  • tape measure
  • pencil

As already mentioned above, the first thing you have to do is cut the required pieces. Take great care when you are measuring your cuts and even greater care when cutting your plywood. Once you have all the pieces you need you can begin assembling your storage system.

There is a diagram available to show you how everything fits together, and where to drill the holes and screws. Do not be afraid to use your pencil and tape measure to make sure that you have all your measurements right. I would not want to end up with a storage system that is tilted to one side, or even worse one that cans can not fit into. lol
