Here is something else you can do with those empty beer bottles instead of taking them in for recycling. Why not re-purpose them into diy beer bottle glasses?
You would think cutting glass is difficult, but not at all. You do not even need any specialized equipment, just materials you already have lying around in your home.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
- glass bottles
- yarn
- nail polish remover or rubbing alcohol
- lighter
- sink full of ice water
- sandpaper
The yarn wrapped around the bottle is what will help you cut the bottle. It is recommended that you wrap it around a few times or you actually braid it and the tie it around.
Make sure you let the yarn burn for at least 30 seconds or almost all the way through before you try to separate the bottle, otherwise it won’t separate. I am going to make a set of 6 of these.
