For all those times you needed a controlled gardening environment, they were always there for you. When you are using a diy mini polytunnel greenhouse, you can either install the diy retractablePVC hoop house or perhaps these diy roll up sides for greenhouses. Either solution will get the job done, it all goes down to your personal preference.
There are probably a thousand greenhouse designs, available for you to choose from. The roll up sides though, may not work with some of the designs. Why would you want roll up sides? Well one word, ventilation. Just being able to roll up the sides on a super hot day, allows you to improve the air circulation. Your plants will thank you (that is if they could talk of course) LOL.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- galvanized tube
- crank handle---------------------- Advertisement ----------------------(optional)
------------------------------------------------------------------- - plastic
- self tapping screws
- ropes (optional)
The sides will be made out of the plastic, but you will need something for it to roll up on. This is the galvanized tube, which ideally should be the same size as the side of your greenhouse. Besides being the roll up buddy for the plastic, it also helps to hold it down when it is covering the side of your greenhouse. It is a pretty straight forward project, give it a go! 🙂
