Most people do not enjoy the cold. I know of one person only who loves the cold weather, my cousin Sam. Anywho, we have built some fire pits before like the diy washing machine drum fire pity The other day I found an even easier one, this diy fire pit built from pavers.
If you played with building blocks, when you were younger then you will love this project. It is as simple as laying your pavers one on top of the other to build your pit. You can choose to make it a more permanent structure by applying some mortar in between the pavers, but that is optional.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- concrete pavers
- shovel
- tape measure
- gravel or small rocks
- cement or concrete adhesive (optional)
The first thing you will need to do is to level the surface where you will be building your fire pit. You will need another wall behind, that will support your pavers when you stack them. For the bottom section of the pit, you just lay your pavers down in a circle, 3 or 4 layers will do.
The upright section is a bit tricky. You have to envision the pattern before you begin about halfway on each side. As you build up you start your pavers a little inside the last one, until you have just one paver at the right at the top. It may take a few tries before you get it right, but the end result is worth it! 🙂
