What would our gardens be without these vital support pillars? I have already shared in previous posts on this blog the diy tomato string trellis, the diy old crib garden trellis as well as the diy wood pallet cucumber trellis. If you still need more choices then why not try this diy cattle panel trellis?
Indeed there are plenty of diy trellis ideas that you can choose from. When it comes to garden trellises, it all depends on your particular needs. This one is a simple portable solution, that is relatively affordable. The major cost will come from buying the panels, if you can find some old panels to use you will save yourself a lot of money. With all the required materials, you can set up one of these in just 10 minutes.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- cattle panels
- wire or twine
- garden stakes
By just looking at the picture you can kind of figure out how to set up this simple trellis. The hardest part will probably be finding the perfect location to set this up. It’s probably best suited for narrow garden beds or just open areas within your garden. Of course if you can find wider panels you can then set up your trellis on a wider garden bed. Don’t forget the wire ties and the stakes, otherwise your trellis may collapse mid-season. That would be a disaster!
