DIY Wood Pallet Cucumber Trellis

If you do not keep all your vine vegetables in check, they will probably end up taking up more space in your garden than you want them too. This is why I have built diy trellis raised garden box, the diy wood pallet pumpkin trellis and this diy tomato trellis plans. Well, if you cucumbers want a little support you can build this diy wood pallet cucumber trellis for them.

There are probably a few other wood pallet garden projects, you could take on. This one however is one of the easy ones, especially since you do not have to dismantle the pallet itself. As a result, you wont need any special tools for this project. This type of support keeps your cucumbers of the ground protecting them from various soil borne diseases and fungi that may want to attack them.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

The first step in building your trellis would be to select the right type of pallet for your project. You only want to use ‘HT’ heat treated pallets, as they are safe for growing food items. The pallet itself will be supported by two posts on either side, and these must be dug into the ground.

If you are going to be moving the trellis around then it is wise that you use a temporary solution such as twine to hold everything together. Otherwise for a more permanent structure you can use screws or nails instead. It is very important that your trellis is south facing to allow maximum exposure to the sun and a bumper harvest.
