DIY $10 Bicycle Trailer

A bicycle can be very useful for getting from point A to B. This diy $10 bicycle trailer can be attached to the back of any bike and used to carry things around the homestead or local area.

Most of the trailer can be built from reclaimed or repurposed materials, that is why it is so cheap to assemble.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • 2 wood pallets
  • wood scraps
  • 2 bike tires
  • 3/8″ hex bolts
  • 5/16″ carriage bolts
  • 2 1/2″ corner braces
  • 2 1/4″ wood screws
  • circular saw
  • hammer
  • pry bar
  • cordless hand drill
  • band saw or jig saw
  • lubricant (optional)
  • bungee chords or rope (optional)

If you do not enjoy dismantling wood pallets, the first part of this project could be a pain in the you know where. Once you get that out of the way, move on to attaching the wheels and work on the hitch assembly.

Try not to put too much weight on your completed trailer. This design has successfully transported small pieces of furniture and up to 2 wooden pallets.
