Canning Glazed Carrots Recipe

Oh no, you just pulled out your carrots and you have way more than you know what to do with. Well luckily you have a few options, you can freeze some of the carrots or perhaps try to can some of them. Also, instead of just using water why not try this canning glazed carrots recipe? huh?

As you can see, there are many different recipes for canning carrots. I like how this one allows you to add ginger or brown sugar, into the mix. If you have some baby carrots, they would be perfect for this recipe. Otherwise, simply slice the normal ones and use those.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Sterilize your jars, rings and lids before you get started. Make sure you keep them hot, as you move on to the rest of the recipe. The carrots will need to be washed and then drained. All the other ingredients, except for the carrots go into the saucepan. Stir and dissolve over medium heat.

The carrots do not have to be cooked, simply pack them raw into the jars. Carefully pour the syrup into each jar, leaving at least an inch of head space. There should be no air bubbles when you wipe the rim of the jars and screw on the lids. The jars are processed in your pressure canner at 10 lbs of pressure for half an hour.
