Canning Apricots Recipe

I know that some of these fruit trees produce just enough fresh fruit for you to enjoy that season. I have shown you how to grow apricots and also how to make apricot jam with some of the left over fruit. You can also use this canning apricots recipe, to preserve the rest.

When it comes to the various canning fruit recipes, this is one of the easier ones. You are going to need to dust off your water bath canner. Besides the apricots, you only require 2 other ingredients. These will be used to make the syrup that you use to preserve the apricots within the jars. Also it is best that you use wide mouth jars, as it is easier to pack the fruit in them.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Prep your jars and your canner before you start preparing your apricots for the canning process. Whilst you are are preparing the sugar and water syrup in the sauce pan, you can wash your apricots and peel them, if you opt to do so. They should however, all be pitted and cut into halves before you pack them into the jars. Depending on the size, you will process your jars from 20 to 30 minutes. Leave the jars overnight on your kitchen counter or table to seal.
