If you raise chickens, then you already know how cleaning the poop from the coop can be such a chore. This diy chicken poop gutter is a time and energy saver.

It is an amazingly simple design from the lazy chicken farmer, but it works and that is all that matters, right? You do not even have to purchase any materials you can just recycle some stuff from around the house.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

• old rain gutter
• 2×4 plywood
• wood screws or nails
• hand drill
• circular saw
• hammer (optional)

The plywood has to be cut to a 45 degree angle, so that the cutter can slide into it and stay in place. The cutting of the plywood and nailing it into place will probably be the hardest jobs.

This system was designed to sit directly below the chickens roosts. You can empty it by simply sliding out the gutter and depositing the chicken poop into your composter or garden.
