Here’s What You’ll Need:

Find a sunny spot in your garden with acidic soil. It is recommended that you plant at least two varities so that they can cross pollinate and produce bigger berries. High yeild varieties to consider are Balsgard and Koralle. Plant your seedling into a hole twice as wide as the root ball, and fill it up with peat moss. Give your plant a good watering, an try to give it at least one inch of water weekly in the first 12 months.

Reduce the amount of water to about half an inch after the first year. It will take up to 5 years for peak berry production. The best time to harvest them would be in early fall, after your first hard frost. The plant itself is very low maintenance and resistant to most diseases and cold weather. Just keep an eye out for birds, foxes as well as racoons when it comes to harvesting time.
