Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • 2″ PVC Pipe
  • 1.5″ PVC Pipe for Well Screen
  • 1.25 ” Coupling
  • Water hoses
  • Well Screen Pipe
  • Cement or bentonite
  • Water hose fitting
  • Water Supply
  • Homemade Handle For PVC Pipe
  • Sand (optional)

The first thing you have to do is build your borehole. The 2″  PVC pipe with the drill bit end (teeth cut into it) is used to do this by rotating the PVC back and forth. Remove water supply fitting and drop well screen pipe into the the wider pipe. Pull out the 2″ PVC pipe with the drill bit.

Seal your walls using the cement or bentonite, just pour it down the sides. You can use this method to build wells that are 25 feet or less deep. Because this is a shallow water well, you must have your water tested before you drink it or give it to your livestock.
