Homemade Eggnog Recipe

It’s the season to be jolly, bring out the eggnog please. LOL. I am aware that I have been slacking on the festive season themed recipes and ideas on this blog. Do you remember the post on the diy wood pallet Christmas tree or the homemade spiced Christmas jam? Well, get ready today we are going to be making this homemade eggnog recipe.

If you do a quick search on Google, you will discover various different eggnog recipes. This particular one is the old fashioned version. You only need 7 ingredients to whip yourself a batch. If you prefer the non alcoholic version, you can easily make that too by leaving out the alcohol. If you love your alcohol, like I do then you can choose whether to use Bourbon or Whiskey for your nog. I personally love the bourbon one. Mmmm yummmy!

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Alright, so we are going to be making the eggnog in the stand mixer. We begin with the egg yolks only, then the sugar is added until it dissolves. Then we add the other ingredients one by one except for the egg whites, which will be prepared separately. What I usually do is make two batches one for the girls and the other for us the parents. The girls nog, has more milk instead of the alcohol. Ours on the other hand usually ends up with double shots. LOL!
