DIY PVC Wood Carrier

Ladies and gentleman, I think it is now time for yet another diy PVC project. I think the last one we looked at was this diy PVC pontoon boat and before that this diy pvc portable chair. Both were interesting projects that we had a lot of fun with. Next up is this diy PVC wood carrier, are you ready.

Just from looking at the picture below, you can tell that it is a very simple, yet practical project. This cheap but low cost wood carrier, will help you carry those heavy logs around by using the cinching mechanism. This is the one major difference from any of the other traditional wood carriers you may become accustomed to.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • PVC pipe
  • rope
  • hand saw
  • cordless drill
  • scissors
  • tape measure
  • sandpaper (optional)
  • lighter (optional)

Use your saw to cut two equal pieces of pvc pipe, each should be one foot long. Then measure six feet of rope and cut two pieces of that too. Grab your drill and measure two inches from the end of each pipe. Drill a hole in each pipe, through one of the walls only at this marked location.

Thread the rope through each hole and tie a knot on one end to keep it in place. Make sure that when you hold one end of the assembly, both sides should be level before use. To use simply lay flat, then load your wood before snaking the other end through the rope. Then you just lift the other end to carry your logs. That’s it, give it a try! 🙂
