DIY PVC Chicken Buffet Feeder

We all know how messy chickens can be when they decide to enjoy their feed. I know a lot of people out there are always looking for ways to reduce waste. This DIY  PVC chicken buffet feeder can help with that.

It is very simple to build, anyone can do this. If you do not have PVC pipe or do not want to invest in some, you could probably replace it with a metal or aluminum one instead.

Here’s What You Need:

  • 4″ PVC Pipe
  • hacksaw or circular saw
  • sand paper or sander
  • chicken feed
  • 2 end caps (optional)

The first thing you want to do is cut your PVC in half. This will leave you with two feeders. You can use both if you have a large number of chickens otherwise just store the other half somewhere for a future project.

That’s all there is to this. Use the sand paper to sand away any sharp edges and put on two end caps, one on each side if you wish. The last step is your chicken feed, don’t fill up the pipe all the way to the top.

There you have it your own chicken feeder buffet. Simple, huh?
