Although flowers are not something I feature on this blog, since I do not really grow any. Occasionally, I do find some that grow naturally in the wild and pick them. In such cases there is no need for solutions such as this diy wood pallet planter or this diy vertical garden planter. All you really need is something small, like this diy glass bottle vase.
For just a measly $10 bucks and an hour or so of ‘hard’ work you can make one of these for your own home. The price is just right, so you cannot complain about that. Also, you can repurpose some old soda bottles as well as the wood for this project. So as a matter of fact, it may end up costing you less. Hey, I am not complaining… are you? LOL

Here’s What You’ll Need
- pine or whitewood board
- 3/8 Ryobi Forstner Bit
- handheld drill
- brad nailer
- wood glue
- glass bottles
- miter saw
- wood stain or paint
As with most wood working project, the first thing you need to do is measure out and cut the pieces you will need from the board. The side pieces should always be shorter than the height of whatever soda bottles you will be using. Then move on to using the forstner bit to make the holes in the top board. Try spacing the holes equally apart about 3 1/2 inches, for a more uniform look.
Assembling the whole thing is a breeze. Use the nail gun or drill to attach all the pieces. For a stronger bond it is recommended that you also apply some wood glue. When the frame is complete, feel free to stain it or paint it however you like. Add some water in your soda bottles, and finish off with a few flowers in each one. Voila, you’re done!
